Suzette Solares

Suzette, proud Miami Dolphins Cheerleader Alumni, cheered from 1996-1997. At the age of 6, Suzette was given full scholarship for over 10 years at a ballet school which led the way to later becoming a ballet teacher. Once she got married and had children, she transferred her skillsets and became a Substitute Teacher at her boys' school. The significance of self-care was deeply ingrained since her early years which grew a passion to become a health & wellness Coach. During her cheerleading venture, she witnessed the transformative power of taking care of oneself alongside a community of like minded women. The firsthand experience inspired her to share invaluable lessons learned to guide others on their journey towards a healthier, more balanced life. Suzette's belief of self-care was instilled as a core value & has been a powerful catalyst for bringing positive change and overall wellbeing to women for over 7 years. She is excited to serve the MDC Alumni Community and be a part of the ongoing legacy!
Maria Cuadra

Maria Cuadra, recognized as top agent and producer, is the Broker/Owner of The Cuadra Group LLC- Real Estate Boutique. She has devoted almost 20 years to establishing herself as a reputable, honest and fierce real estate professional in this ever changing industry. Throughout her career she has excelled in gaining knowledge to better help her clients. Maria, is a member of the National Association of Realtors and holds dual degrees from FIU, in particular a Master’s degree in International Real Estate. Her credentials also include the MRP “Military Relocation Professional Certification” and the “Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist designation.” Cuadra also sat on the board of the Miami, Women’s Council of Realtors. Maria loved being a Miami Dolphins Cheerleader and credits the organization for putting her in the lime light and teaching her to commingle with every fan. She is a natural when it comes to connecting with others and thus has been featured in several media outlets for Real Estate, FIU features, as well as served as a panelist for events throughout South Florida.
Maria, cheered from 2002-2005. She was on the cover the calendar her rookie year in addition to being part of the calendar every year that she cheered. She was also part of the well renowned “Show Team” and traveled extensively as well as participated in the USO tour where she traveled to the Middle East to be with our American troops. Cuadra was featured in many TV programs and print during her time with the Miami Dolphins. Her passion for people has led her once again here and she is humbled and honored to carry the NFL Alumni name and help this
organization grow.
Jesse Barrass

Jessica “Jesse” Barrass cheered with the Miami Dolphins from 1998 to 1999. As a true DolFan and native Floridian, she grew up watching the Miami Dolphins play at the Orange Bowl. She dreamed of the day she would carry a set of pom poms and wear the glamorous uniform, hopeful to call herself a Miami Dolphin Cheerleader. After several years of studying ballet, tap, pom, baton twirling, and cheerleading, she secured a coveted spot on the roster thanks to her passion for dance. During her time with the MDC, Jesse was selected to travel to Jamaica for the Miami Dolphins Cheerleaders calendar shoot and was featured on the show, E!. She also was featured as a cheerleader in the movie, Any Given Sunday.
One particular appearance with Dan Marino at The Miami Children's Hospital led her to one of her true passions, volunteering for non-profit organizations. For her work with Boca Ballet Theatre, a non-profit organization that offers special opportunities for creative self-expression and positive learning experiences for economically disadvantaged children, she was recognized by the Governor of Florida and, in 2022, nominated for Volunteer of the Year by the Junior League of Boca Raton. She has continued to dedicate herself to Boca Ballet Theatre for almost 20 years. Alongside her volunteering, she has been a top-producing Realtor at Regency Realty Services for over two decades. She has recently accepted the role of spokeswoman for Farmasi, a wellness and beauty company. This new position helps to develop her networking skills, focusing on a healthy lifestyle and offering advice by incorporating nutritional supplements and personal care products. Married for 23 years, she resides in Palm Beach County with her husband and twin daughters. Her dedication, determination, and tenacity on and off the field offered her wonderful life experiences. The Miami Dolphins Cheerleaders created a permanent life-long bond with her cheer sisters that only those who have danced across the field can truly understand. She is proud to call herself a DolFan and a Miami Dolphin Cheerleader Alumni.
Dotti Groover Skipper

Dotti Groover–Skipper believes in dynamic living through servant leadership! Since graduating from the University of South Florida, she has facilitated expert programming to impact positive policy change in tobacco, substance abuse, addiction, and sex trade and has helped develop numerous sustainable community coalitions.Dotti’s passion to make a difference began as an NFL Cheerleader for the Miami Dolphins in 1978. Her leadership qualities were evident as she was selected by the famous June Taylor to perform on the original adult cheerleader team for the Dolphins as a Miami Dolphin StarBrite. During her two years as a StarBrite, she was selected many times to represent the Starbrites and the Dolphins for many events. Through this journey, Dotti was made aware of certain situations that tugged at her heartstrings. She knew she was to dedicate her life to those who are most vulnerable.
Dotti is founder of HeartDance Foundation, which serves men, women and children engaged in
the sex industry and currently working on anti-trafficking initiatives and legislation. Groover-
Skipper is an ordained elder and missionary who has operated at the national level to mobilize
and train clergy and faith communities to engage in issues of addiction, human rights and
justice. She is credited as a catalyst to peak action against human trafficking in Tampa Bay. She
is appointed to several local, state and national boards and has been recognized with numerous
awards including the “Florida Human Trafficking Advocate of the Year” by Florida’s Governor.
Dotti’s career came full circle in 2018, when the Miami Dolphin Foundation invited her to train
the Miami Dolphin Cheerleaders and staff on human trafficking. She is married to her high
school sweetheart, Roger. Together they are the proud parents of seven adult children and
grandparents of three.
Dr. Mari Campuzano

Dr. Mari Campuzano was a Miami Dolphins Cheerleader from 2009 to 2013. During her time as a cheerleader, she served as Sunshine Chair and Co-Captain, and was selected as Veteran of the Year during her second season on the team. Some of her most rewarding experiences as a cheerleader were engaging with community groups and military servicemen and women. Mari had the opportunity to represent the team on military tours to Joint Base Lewis-McChord and Guantanamo Bay Naval Base, and completed over ten 5Ks as part of the team’s “Cheer for a Cause” initiative supporting local non-profits’ fundraising efforts. Dr. Campuzano participated in the first annual Dolphins Challenge Cancer (DCC) and has since remained involved with the event. Mari’s commitment to DCC is highlighted as part of the “Faces of the DCC” campaign advocating for the largest fundraiser in the NFL. Mari’s time as an NFL Cheerleader motivated her career path into organizational development. She obtained her doctorate at The George Washington University in Washington, DC where she published her dissertation on the experience of Latina CEOs in professional sports inspired by her time on the squad. Dr. Campuzano was selected as graduation speaker where she was able to share about her experience working with the Miami Dolphins. Mari has remained closely involved with the team as an alumna. She had the opportunity to write the 2018 Miami Dolphins Cheerleaders “Joyful. Powerful. Beautiful.” lifestyle annual book documenting the team’s journey aboard the MSC Seaside. She has also traveled with the team to Mexico City for Super Bowl LII and Armed Forces Entertainment Super Bowl LIII military tour to Europe. Dr. Campuzano has served as a gameday Cheerleader Alumni Ambassador since retiring from the team, and remains involved in the South Florida community with various non-profit organizations, and empowering emerging leaders through Leadership Miami.
